Originally sold in Whanarei in the far North of New Zealand and first registered on November 26th 1973, the car remained in the same family till 1990, a few more owners had it for a year or two each and i bought it from Auckland on the 30th May 1994, i'm the 6th owner. Originally Summer Gold it had been re painted gloss black when i bought it and had XA GT bonnet scoops and driving lights added as well as a Cobra style duck tail rear spoiler and 12 slot wheels, the interior had been re trimmed in (bright) red vinyl. The running gear hadn't been touched and the odometer was reading 97491 miles The car didn't run all that well so I decided to do a full resto on it but didn't want to go back to the original colour, i decided on a classic muscle car colour from Chryslers high impact range that i'd seen on Cuda's and Chargers FJ6 Sassy Grass Green on Plymouths also called Green Go when used on Dodges. Engine is now a warm 408C using a spare block i had as the original was found to be cracked, a Comp Cams hydraulic roller and Trick Flow alloy heads, Edelbrock performer RPM inlet and FiTech injection were also added. The original engine is sitting on an engine stand next to the car as a display piece now |
